On Thursday 8th June, Hillborough Junior School went to the Polls with the rest of the country to vote for a new government. The children learnt about the different parties and their manifestos before deciding who they would vote for at lunch time using their own ballot paper. Some classes even selected other children to stand as the party leaders and give speeches on their values. Unlike the rest of the country, the Labour Party won with a landslide at our school! The children enjoyed taking part and learning about why it is so important to use your vote and have your voice heard.
